Year 1 Iveson Blog

  This term, we have been learning all about animals and how to classify them into different groups. Today the children were Zoologists and found different ways to sort the animals by a range of features, for example, beaks, wings, hooves etc. Our Year 1 children even used vocabulary like reptiles, mammals, amphibians too. Well done! 

 Year 1 were getting prepared for their trip to Filey Beach. They showed great interest in writing lists of all the essentials they would need for the day so we decided to let them write their own letter during English to send out to their parents. They were very thorough when writing their letters!  

  It was our first time on the laptops yesterday! The children were very successful and could log in using their username and navigate the mouse with ease. The children were amazed! 

We visited Year 5 today to meet the baby chicks. Our Year 5 children were amazing at explaining how to care for the new chicks and the best way to hold them. Thank you for helping our younger children, they had a wonderful time and are already talking about their next visit to Year 5.
