The children have continued to programme their robots. We worked in partners to follow instructions and navigate the bee bot to different symbols on the grid.   

The children have been learning about different materials in science. We have talked about different materials and what things are made of. We have talked about why things are made of different materials and discussed their properties. Here the children are sorting objects into hoops. The children noticed that somethings are made of more than 1 material which prompted them to overlap the hoops such as the jar is made of glass with a metal lid.   

This term the children will be learning all about robots. They will be learning how to program robots to make the move. Hear the children are practicing how to use the bee bots.

This week we have been looking at maps and where we live. We learnt that the capital city in England is London and that the Capital city in Scotland is Edinburgh. We learnt that we live in Leeds. We were able to sort and discuss the physical and human features of the cities.  Throughout the week we will be comparing what the weather is like in Leeds and in Edinburgh. We have found that on some days the weather is the same but that it has been sunnier in Edinburgh at the start of the week.
