The children been using watercolours and acrylic paints creatively to create their final piece of artwork. Over the last term, they have been developing their own ideas and techniques. Look are their fantastic pieces of art.

Spring is here so Year 1 have started to plant. We've planted broad bean seeds and cherry blossom trees. We love observing the changes each day.

Year 1 have been designing castles and practising a range of skills to build their own castle. They practised tying knots to secure the string to the drawbridge, cutting out battlements and making sturdy towers. 

 The children were nautical engineers and tested materials to see whether they would float or sink. They loved making predictions and testing their ideas.

This term, the children have been engineers and testing out which materials would be best to build a bridge. They explored and experimented with different ways the bridge could hold the most teddies.
