Dear parents, Please will you come to our Owls 1 class assembly. It is on Thursday 6th July. It starts at 9:05am. We hope to see you there so we can share our brilliant work with you!
Owls 1 were getting their detective hats on today to look at different Seaside artefacts. We look at how times have changed since the 1950's, and at how holidays might have been different in the past. Then we spent some time looking at different artefacts and asking questions about where they might have come from, and what they might hav e been used for!
Year 1 had a wonderful trip to the seaside yesterday. We went to Filey Beach and all the children had a lot of fun and some new experiences. Whilst we were there we made sandcastles and buried each other, splashed and paddled in the sea, j umped over waves and we even went and bought ourselves an ice cream! We had a lovely day out, and we are really excited about the rest of our Seasides topic this half term.
Don't forget - we are off to the seaside on Wednesday! Please make sure you have brought back your permission slips and paid the £5. Thanks to everyone who has already returned these! We will be sending out a reminder of what you will need to bring - keep an eye out for this.
We now have a number of teeny tiny froglets bouncing around in their tank! They are staying at Miss Grimshaw's house for the holidays, but they might be ready to jump back to the pond very soon! Here's a picture of one of the newest froglets - he just lost his tail!
