I n Guided Reading this week, can you read the book Stuck by Oliver Jeffers.     Link:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hipx6HJs4XQ         Can you spot the WOW words in the book?   s winging                 curious                          hurled                     delighted                    exhauste d     Can you   think of   a definition for each of the   WOW   words?     Can you   write   them in a   sentence?     Some of them you might spot from other stories   we have read together in class .      You could use a dictionary, internet or ask an adult to help you if you are unsure?  

Thank you for helping Sir George find a perfect spot for his castle. He is thinking of what materi al he should build his castle out of. Can you help him?  His castle needs to be  really strong  and not get knocked down by any angry dragons!   Can you build a strong   castle   for   Sir George   to live   in?     What materials could you use?        You could use   recycle material, Lego bricks, straws,   card, glue sticky tape etc.    Challenge :   Can you draw, label and write about your   castle ?    You could test if your model is strong enough by asking an adult to try blow it down with a hair dryer.
