Future Cooks

Image
We have been reading The Runaway Pancake in English this week, and today we put on our Chef hats and put our hands to making our own pancakes! We poured, measured and weighed all the ingredients, melted butter, poured in the batter and even flipped our own pancakes.  Have a look at all the fun we had! Jamil carefully poured out pancake batter... ...and Manha flipped her pancake like a pro!

Do you code? Not yet?

Exciting Science

In Year 1 this week we have been learning all about our 5 senses. We started by learning a song to help us remember the names of the senses, and which body parts we use for them. Then we started to use our senses in an experiment.  We moved around different stations in the classroom to describe what we could see, hear, feel and smell.  After all of that excitement, we tried to describe some different foods using our sense of taste. It was a really fun experience, and it helped us to use some amazing vocabulary to describe the different experiences at each Sense Station!
