 In celebration of outdoor learning day, we had many opportunities to take our lessons outdoors. We love it and regularly participate in learning outdoors to enhance the curriculum. Take a look at our Maths and Science from this week.

 This term, Year 1 have been making minibeast sculptures out of different materials. So far, they've used dried spaghetti and recycled materials. Next week, we will be using wire and clay. Keep your eyes peeled for more of our creations. 

  As part of our Minibeast topic, we are creating different sculptures of Minibeasts each week using various materials. This week was spaghetti and play dough! Look at our amazing creations. 

 This week the children are going to be writing their own story. They started drawing pictures on a story map and then retelling the story with their friends. Look at their fantastic story maps!

 We've been making equal groups this week and counting in 2's and 5's. The children made an array using counters and wrote a repeated addition to match. Some children challenged themselves to write a multiplication sum too. Well done! 

  Look at our fantastic castles! We have spent last half term planning and creating our models. We even added a moving mechanism!
