On Thursday afternoon, Year One went on a Phonics Easter Egg hunt around the playground. The eggs were filled with real and alien words. The children had to read them and write them underneath the correct alien.  This is all practice for the Year 1 Phonics Screening test in June. Today in Science Year One went on a mini beast hunt outside. The children worked in teams using magnifying glasses and spades to find all sorts of mini beasts. We then returned to the classroom to solve some What Am I? Mini beast riddles.
