Mini beast Investigators

Today in Science Year One went on a mini beast hunt outside. The children worked in teams using magnifying glasses and spades to find all sorts of mini beasts. We then returned to the classroom to solve some What Am I? Mini beast riddles.

We have thought about how to make it safe and assessable to everybody. The children were investigating ways to join materials together. We used pipe cleaners and straws to make 3D shapes and thought about how this technique could be used when making our final pieces.
