Science: Material hunt
This term the children have been learning about different materials. We would like the children to go on a material hunt around the house.

Can you collect as many different materials as you can around the house?
When you think you have found lots of different materials, sort the materials into groups. You could sort them into these groups:
- Plastic
- Wood
- Glass
- Fabric
- Metal
- Rock
- Stone
Challenge: You could write labels for each of the different types of material.
In your blue book, you could write sentences to describe the materials.
Example:
Wood is hard.
Glass can be transparent and smooth.
