DT - Picnic!

We have had a lovely Week before half term. The children prepared food for a picnic on the field including sandwiches, fruit and vegetables! 

The children carefully chopped the fruit and vegetables and used a knife to spread the butter and jam. They sliced their sandwiches in halves and quarters which is an objective we have focused on in Maths this half term.

This term the children are creating a playground structure to include in the school playground. We have been researching different playground equipment. We have thought about how to make it safe and assessable to everybody. The children were investigating ways to join materials together. We used pipe cleaners and straws to make 3D shapes and thought about how this technique could be used when making our final pieces.
