Outdoor Maths - Finding quarters

 In Maths, the Year One children have been learning all about fractions. 

The children completed their learning outside. They worked in pairs, and found quarters of shapes in different ways.

We have thought about how to make it safe and assessable to everybody. The children were investigating ways to join materials together. We used pipe cleaners and straws to make 3D shapes and thought about how this technique could be used when making our final pieces.
