History - Abbey House Museum

The children spent the morning at Abbey House Muesum. They explored the street and had the change to dress up in old clothes. We enjoyed pretending to be teachers in the school. We also explored the archieves of different artefacts and old toys in the museum. The children enjoyed the penny machines where we could watch the puppet shows.

We have used lots of different non-standard units of measure to find the length of height of ourselves and objects around the classroom. Computing - Piet Mondrian Art

The children were inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian to create a piece of art digitally. They used squares, rectangles, vertical and horizontal lines to create a grid. They then used the fill tool to block out primary colours. The children did an amazing job and reflected on their learning after the lesson ‘ they felt confidence in using different tools to create a piece of art.
