English - All about Buses


This week in English the children have started the new topic all about buses. We will be reading a book called the ‘Naughty Bus’. Today the children experienced going on a bus. We role played going on an adventure as we visited the Iveson kitchen bus. We will be using this space for lots of topics throughout the year.

We have used lots of different non-standard units of measure to find the length of height of ourselves and objects around the classroom. Computing - Piet Mondrian Art

The children were inspired by the artist Piet Mondrian to create a piece of art digitally. They used squares, rectangles, vertical and horizontal lines to create a grid. They then used the fill tool to block out primary colours. The children did an amazing job and reflected on their learning after the lesson ‘ they felt confidence in using different tools to create a piece of art.
